E-ACT The Oldham Academy North is seeking an ambitious and inspirational Head of Maths to lead and develop our Mathematics department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to drive high-quality teaching and learning, raise standards, and secure strong outcomes for all students. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for Maths, shape an engaging and ambitious curriculum, and support colleagues through effective coaching and professional development. You will be committed to inclusive practice, high expectations, and ensuring every learner achieves their potential. Key responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and line management for the Mathematics department Develop, implement, and regularly review an ambitious, inclusive Maths curriculum Lead on raising standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes in Maths Promote high expectations, positive behaviour, and a culture of achievement Engage with parents, carers, and external partners to support student progress Pay range: L8-L10 - £61,534.00 - £64,691.00 with £3000 Recruitment & Retention Allowance - September start Qualifications and Skills: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject Evidence of continued professional development in teaching and leadership Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing Maths team Demonstrated impact on raising student attainment and progress What are we about?
