Role Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled SEND Teacher to assist our SENCo and join our highly successful SEND team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead role within our growing SEND provision, working primarily within our enhanced provision rooms (hubs) to support pupils with a range of needs. You will lead teaching and provision within the hubs, ensuring pupils make strong progress academically, socially, and emotionally. Alongside this, you will support the SENCo with key responsibilities including EHCPs, SSPPs, referrals, and wider SEND provision across the school. Role Requirements Essential Skills Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience teaching primary-aged pupils with SEND. Strong understanding of inclusive practice and adaptive teaching. Strong understanding of SEND and the SEND Code of Practice. Ability to build warm, trusting and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues. Commitment to inclusive education and ensuring all children can succeed. Ability to work collaboratively with staff to support high‑quality teaching and learning. Willingness to work towards the NASENCo qualification (if not already held). Desirable Skills Experience supporting children with a wide range of SEND needs. Prior experience working within a SEN or inclusion leadership role. Knowledge of effective interventions and strategies for SEND pupils. Ability to coach and deploy a team of teaching assistants. Strong knowledge of ASD and SEND teaching strategies. Strong data analysis skills to support monitoring and planning. Experience building positive working relationships with external agencies. Creativity, enthusiasm and a flexible approach to meeting individual needs. Familiarity with EHCP processes and statutory requirements.
