About the Role
Goffs-Churchgate Academy is seeking a passionate and
dedicated Teacher of History to join our thriving and supportive Humanities
department from December 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a

Key Responsibilities
Deliver
high-quality History lessons that inspire and challenge students.
Use
prior attainment data to inform planning and teaching, ensuring all
students reach their potential.
Monitor,
assess, and report on student progress and attainment.
Contribute
to the development of effective teaching practices and the department’s
improvement plan.
Plan
and implement a range of extra-curricular activities, including trips and
clubs, to enrich the student experience.
Collaborate
with colleagues across the Trust to share resources and best practices.
Maintain
high standards of behaviour for learning within your teaching groups.
Requirements
Qualified
Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree relevant to History.
A
passion for teaching History and a commitment to fostering a love of
learning in students.
Outstanding
teaching skills or the potential to develop into an outstanding
practitioner.
Strong
organisational and time management skills.
Excellent
interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a
team.
A
commitment to supporting all students to achieve their best, regardless of
background or ability.
