About the role

We are looking for a candidate who has a deep passion for Economics, is forward thinking, innovative and has excellent subject knowledge. As a department, Economics offers a range of pathways to suit all students, and as such is one of the most popular option subjects at KS5. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Economics department, will have an in depth understanding of successful Economics pedagogy and will have achieved highly successful outcomes in their subject area. We currently offer A Level Economics. Student outcomes are continuously improving, and many of our students go on to study Economics or Finance-related degrees at some of the top universities in the UK. This post offers exciting opportunities to lead on some of the enrichment activities offered in the department including coordinating a Young Enterprise group, as well as making links with a number of external agencies and visiting speakers.
