Criminology Coordinator (Part Time) Full-Time for additional Subject Specialisms (Humanities) We are seeking an inspiring, passionate and highly effective Teacher in Charge of Criminology to lead and develop this exciting subject across the college. About the Role As our Criminology Coordinator, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the subject, ensuring high-quality, strong outcomes and an engaging, inclusive curriculum. You will: Take strategic responsibility for the promotion, development and day-to-day leadership of Criminology. Deliver consistently high-quality teaching that motivates, challenges and supports all learners. Lead curriculum planning, assessment, and continuous improvement in Criminology. Work closely with SLT to drive school self-evaluation, analyse data and implement strategies for improvement. Act as a role model, mentor and support for colleagues, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture. Ensure the Criminology curriculum is cohesive, progressive, inclusive and engaging. Oversee the use of resources and manage any associated budget efficiently. Monitor pupil progress, set ambitious targets and use data effectively to inform teaching and drive improvement. Support, challenge and develop colleagues through coaching, feedback and professional development. Establish a safe, stimulating and respectful learning environment where high standards are maintained. Promote literacy, independent learning and positive behaviour in lessons. Contribute fully to the wider life of the school, including duties, assemblies, parental engagement and meetings. Actively promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people at all times.
