Key responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across KS3-KS5 Assess, monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs Promote high standards of behaviour and establish a positive learning environment Contribute to curriculum development within the English department Support students to develop strong literacy, critical thinking and analytical skills Participate in wider school life, including enrichment and extracurricular activities Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community What we’re looking for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Strong subject knowledge and passion for English Experience teaching in a secondary setting (or strong ECT potential) High expectations of student achievement and behaviour Ability to engage and inspire learners of all abilities Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students Reflective, proactive and committed to continuous professional development Interested in Applying?
