About the Role Blessed Edward Bamber Catholic Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Governance & Compliance Lead to play a pivotal role in supporting our continued growth and ensuring robust governance and compliance across our family of schools. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and detail-focused professional to lead on governance systems, compliance processes and statutory responsibilities across the Trust. Working closely with the CEO and central team, you will ensure that policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are consistently implemented to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities You will: Oversee Trust-wide governance, compliance and statutory requirements Lead on policy development, review and coordination Manage and quality assure complaints processes and casework Maintain statutory records, registers and governance documentation Ensure compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education and safeguarding requirements Lead on GDPR, data protection and information governance processes Support risk management, audit processes and assurance reporting Act as a key link between the Trust, schools, governors and external stakeholders About You We are looking for someone who: Has experience in governance, compliance, legal or regulatory environments Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Is confident managing complex processes, casework and deadlines Has strong communication and stakeholder management skills Can handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion Has a sound understanding of policy, risk, and compliance frameworks Is committed to supporting schools and making a difference at Trust level Experience in an education or multi-academy trust setting is desirable, but not essential.
