Cover Supervisor 35 hours per week Working hours - Monday to Friday 8.15am to 3.45pm 39 weeks per year (Term Time only) Grade D1 to D5 - £28,696 to £31,572 FTE Actual Annual Salary - £23,281.94 to £25,615.33 Subject to experience Foundry Lane Primary School is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team, supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school, working with teachers to with teachers to plan, organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes. Key Responsibilities Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task Deliver pre-set lessons and provide clear instructions to support learning Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies Support pupils with varied learning needs, including SEN Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress Contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment Key Requirements NVQ 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent Level 2 qualifications in maths/numeracy and English/literacy Experience working with students in a formal setting Experience of delivering whole class teaching Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage behaviour calmly and confidently Good organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly Commitment to supporting pupils’ learning and development For full details please see the attached job description and person specification.
