Contract: Fixed term to 31st August 2027 (Part Time/Full Time 0.8 to 1 FTE)
Salary: MPR 1 (FTE £32,916)

Samuel Ward Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic Teacher of Girls’ PE to teach the subject across the key stages (KS3 and KS4) within an established and collegiate department. This post represents an exciting prospect to join a team of dedicated professionals with an established support structure and palpable team ethos. The PE department is well resourced and has an excellent extensive range of facilities including a sports hall, gym refurbished changing rooms, a sports barn, astro-turfs, courts and vast outdoor space with athletics track and other dedicated areas. We teach across the key stages all the way up to A Level within the Samuel Ward Sixth Form.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant and engaged teaching staff body who are squarely focused on improving student outcomes and a positive culture of behaviour, teaching and learning. We offer a full induction for ECTs by experienced and successful specialists, including mentoring time, well-structured curriculum plans to ensure that your career is set up to be a success at SWA. In September, we will have a group of four ECTs (from across the school) who will have specific training and guidance as you start your careers together.
