Key Responsibilities of the Role Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality learning experiences in line with the National Curriculum Create and maintain a stimulating, safe and purposeful learning environment that supports all learners Ensure all pupils are engaged, challenged and supported to achieve their full potential Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, using this information to inform planning and next steps Provide clear and effective feedback to pupils, adapting teaching where necessary Promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy, fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom Take responsibility for the organisation and management of the class Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff, deploying support effectively to maximise outcomes Plan and implement targeted interventions to support pupil progress, including for pupils with SEND and additional needs Promote the wellbeing, safety and pastoral care of all pupils Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support children’s learning and development Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment opportunities, events and school initiatives Uphold and implement school policies, particularly those related to safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion Take on additional responsibilities where required, such as subject leadership or contributing to school improvement priorities We Are Looking for Someone Who Is: A passionate and committed teacher with high expectations for all pupils Secure subject knowledge and understanding of effective teaching and learning practice Flexible, adaptable and creative in their approach to teaching Highly organised, motivated and committed to achieving the best outcomes for every child A strong team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils Reflective and enthusiastic about professional development Dedicated to upholding the ethos, values and vision of the scho
