The children, staff and governors of Nether Green Infant School
are looking to appoint outstanding, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Teaching
Assistants. This is a great opportunity to become part of our wonderful and inclusive
school.
The successful candidates will join a strong and supportive team
and contribute to the school’s calm, nurturing and positive approach. The post
holder will work alongside teachers and Teaching Assistants to support the
teaching and learning within our ‘Butterflies’ SEND hub provision.
Our Butterflies Hub operates full time throughout the school day. Seven
children attend the provision full time or for the majority of the day,
alongside a small number of pupils who access the provision for selected parts
of the day to receive specific support or interventions. All children within
the hub have an EHCP or are on the EHCP pathway.
Visits to our school to meet our fabulous children and highly
skilled staff team are welcomed. Candidates can visit on Monday 1st
June or Wednesday 3rd June at 3:45pm or Thursday 4th June

You must:
Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early
Years, KS1 or equivalent
Have experience of working with children with
SEND
Have experience of supporting children with a
range of needs, including Autism and Speech and Language difficulties
Have a
good understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum and experience of working
with children in this age group
Be flexible and willing to adapt to the
individual needs of the children
Be prepared to support children’s physical needs including
toileting, changing nappies and feeding Be able to adapt your practice to meet the diverse range of needs
of our children Be willing to work closely with other professionals and implement
advice and strategies to support individual children Have a good understanding of how the fundamental skills of
reading, writing and Maths develop in EYFS and KS1 Be flexible and adaptable in order to achieve the best outcomes
for children Have very good written and verbal communication skills Enjoy working with young children Be willing to work effectively as part of a team and use your
initiative when required Be able to develop positive working relationships with children,
parents and staff Be committed, enthusiastic and willing to undertake further training
and professional development
