Role One - 18.75 hours per week, (3 days per week, term time plus two days). Starting annual salary Β£13,840.84 Role Two - 31.25 hours per week, (5 days per week, term time plus two days). Starting annual salary Β£23,068.06. Rushy has a Hearing Resource Base where children who have significant deafness are supported in mainstream education by Specialist TAs and through Teacher of the Deaf Support. The Hearing Support Teaching Assistantβs primary focus will be to work under the professional guidance of the class teacher/Teacher of the Deaf (ToD), within an agreed system of supervision, to support deaf pupils in mainstream lessons using a Total Communication (TC) approach and to deliver specific interventions, e.g. speech and language therapy. The suitable person will need at least level 1 BSL and able to use a mixture of BSL, SSE and spoken language to communicate with and support the learning of identified pupils.
