About the role

Holy Trinity Catholic School seeks to serve young people from both the Catholic and local community, welcoming all those who embrace its values and share in its quest for excellence. We are a good school, with a with a recent Section 48 inspection grading of Outstanding (March 2026); an achievement we are immensely proud of as a faith school which is fully inclusive and is committed to the diverse community we serve. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated individual who would join our outstanding pastoral team as a Head of Year. Responsibilities: To make a significant contribution to Holy Trinity’s ethos and culture of encouragement and achievement. The successful candidate is required to be flexible in their approach to this role and be prepared to go the ‘extra mile’ in support of the students and families of Holy Trinity. Be responsible for managing and addressing the needs of students who need help to overcome barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential. Be responsible for the strategic oversight of student performance in your year group. Leader of progress and information evenings for students in your year group. To Lead a team of highly effective Form Tutors and insist on high expectations at all times. To create and maintain positive relationships with students and families. To be acutely aware of Safeguarding and Child Protection issues in your year group and seek appropriate support when required. Pastoral support for students who are new to school, on a managed move or accessing alternative provision to ensure that their transition is successful. This is both for those who are welcomed into Holy Trinity or those who are educated elsewhere but remain on the school roll. Where applicable, liaising and working with other members of the pastoral team, senior leadership team and middle leaders. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and therefore expects all staff to share the commitment.
