We are seeking an enthusiastic English Practitioner to join our highly motivated, collaborative team of six teachers. You will teach across Years 9-13, driving attainment in GCSE English Language and Literature, as well as A Level English Language. The English Faculty is a highly motivated team, during the final year of Key Stage 3, we begin to prepare our students for GCSE examinations by introducing examination style texts and skills as well as promoting wider, supportive reading. In Key Stage 4, we study AQA English Language and Literature. In the Sixth Form we study AQA English Literature Specification B with a focus on Aspects of Tragedy and Elements of Crime Writing. We also offer A Level English Language (Pearson Edexcel). Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or looking to gain broader experience, you will bring a strong sense of purpose and a drive to help students excel. The post is full time, but we would consider 0.8FTE for the right candidate. Our students across the Year groups into the Sixth Form have a focus on wanting to learn - this helps to foster an attitude of wanting to achieve the best they can.
