Part time working will be considered (please state in supporting statement if interested in part time) Early Career Teacher: Applications welcomed We seek a full time Teacher of History who is enthusiastic and passionate about their subject. We are looking for a subject specialist with the ability to teach History to GCSE. The ability to teach other Humanities subjects at KS3 would be an advantage. Our Humanities Faculty offers History, Geography, Religious Studies, Latin and GCSE Business Studies. At KS3 our curriculum is broad, providing a firm foundation for GCSE, whilst not being constrained by GCSE content. The faculty is comprised of a team of professionals who work together and support each other. The staff are all subject specialists, are passionate about what they teach and about achieving excellent results. Student outcomes are good in Humanities subjects and we are looking to add further strength to this team. The faculty is ambitious, forward looking and strives to ensure that every student excels. The successful candidate will be a reflective practitioner who is able to maximise the potential of all our pupils. We use Rosenshine’s Principles to underpin our teaching and learning, plan jointly and have a clear and centralised behaviour policy. We are an outward looking school and are keen to develop all our staff. You will use teaching and assessment effectively to ensure that all pupils know and remember key knowledge and skills.
