We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team. About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team and play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development across Key Stage 2. As a HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences, promote inclusion and support the progress and wellbeing of all pupils, including those with special educational needs. You will also lead whole classes during teachers’ PPA time and provide targeted intervention support to help pupils achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across KS2 classrooms and deliver the teaching of English and Maths to groups of pupils in Years 5 and 6. The role includes leading classes during teachers’ PPA time, providing tailored support for pupils with additional needs and delivering after-school small group tuition to prepare pupils for SATs. You will help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment where all children can thrive. Applicants must have previous KS2 teaching or HLTA experience and a strong knowledge of the Year 5 and Year 6 English and Maths curriculum. Confidence in leading groups and whole-class sessions independently is essential, along with a commitment to raising pupil achievement and supporting inclusion. Strong communication and teamwork skills are also required.
