Job Title: Senior Premises Assistant
Annual Salary: £28,859 - £31,111 (CLF Grade C) Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Step into a pivotal role at the heart of a thriving academy! As Senior Premises Assistant, you’ll play a key part in keeping a large, busy site running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Working closely with the Premises Manager, you’ll be hands-on in every aspect of site management — helping to create a secure, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for staff, students, and visitors alike.
This is more than just a support role — you’ll take the lead when it matters most. Deputising in the Premises Manager’s absence, you’ll guide and motivate the Premises Team while championing a strong, proactive Health & Safety culture. About you:
Experience of managing sites or of working in facilities management.
Experience of preparing risk assessments.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work to set deadlines but also flexible and adaptable to deal with adhoc issues as they arise.
Experience of inducting, working with and supervising contractors.
Ability to source suppliers and contractors and negotiate best value for money.
Experience of carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
Experience of understanding site related reports i.e., asbestos, H&S audit, Fire Risk Assessments, Water Risk Assessments, etc.
Good IT skills – able to use Microsoft Office Programs.
