Class Teacher 100% FTE Salary: Teachers Main Scale Point 1 - 6 (£34,398 - £46,839 per annum depending on experience) Start Date: 1st September 2026 Fixed until 31st August 2027 We have a fantastic opportunity for a class teacher, who must have Key Stage 2 experience, at East Tilbury Primary School. This position will involve: Supporting pupils, to ensure they are engaged in learning activities Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom Acting as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and promoting positive pupil behaviour, to create a safe and inclusive learning environment Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures about health & safety, welfare and wellbeing and safeguarding Establishing positive relationships with the pupils, parents and other staff in the school The successful candidate will be: Passionate, creative, motivated and has a positive outlook Committed to raising outcomes of all students A great communicator with excellent organisational skills and a helpful attitude Enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team Dedicated to good classroom management Caring towards the welfare and achievement of every child Innovative and have a passion for improvement Able to multi-task and have excellent written skills Able remain calm under pressure and remain positive Able to follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise students’ welfare East Tilbury Primary School is located in the heart of East Tilbury, near the town centre, a short distance from the train station, which is on the C2C Line between Shoeburyness and Fenchurch Street Station.
