Teaching Assistant

The ideal candidate must have the following:

A minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Achieved at least grades A*- C (or equivalent) in

GCSE English and Maths Experience of working with children in Key Stage 1

and/or Key Stage 2 Experience of taking groups and a whole class on

your own A proven track record of working with small groups

in an educational setting and the ability to show evidence of impact on

children’s attainment through the use of interventions Be very well organised, have great communication

skills and an enthusiasm for supporting children of all abilities Good ICT skills A positive and proactive approach when supporting

learning and behaviour Work well under pressure and achieve set targets An understanding of the role of Teaching Assistant

and other professionals working in the school
