Key Stage 1 Class Teacher (Full time) - September 2026 Hampsthwaite C of E Primary School Salary: MPS (ECT welcomed) Fixed Term Contract for one year initially We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Class Teacher (full time) who shares our ambition for high-quality teaching, strong foundations in early learning, and excellent outcomes for all pupils. The Trust wishes to appoint an excellent and committed teacher to join Hampsthwaite C of E Primary School from September 2026. The Role The successful candidate will: Deliver consistently high-quality teaching within Key Stage 1 Plan and deliver a broad, engaging and well-sequenced KS1 curriculum , ensuring progression and clear learning outcomes across subjects Demonstrate flexibility and confidence in planning for mixed-age classes , ensuring learning is appropriately pitched for all pupils Have a strong focus on securing excellent outcomes for all learners , including pupils with SEND, those in receipt of Pupil Premium, and higher attaining pupils Place a strong emphasis on early reading , recognising its importance as the gateway to the wider curriculum Teach systematic synthetic phonics effectively, using our chosen programme, Monster Phonics Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Phonics Screening Check , using assessment effectively to ensure all pupils are well prepared Teach the fundamentals of mathematics , ensuring pupils develop secure number sense, fluency and early reasoning skills Create a calm, purposeful and engaging classroom environment that reflects our commitment to consistency, inclusion and high expectations Foster a love of learning so that children are motivated to enjoy, achieve and flourish works effectively in partnership with teaching assistants and colleagues; is a reflective practitioner with high expectations for achievement, behaviour and inclusion; contributes positively to the wider life of the school and Trust.
