Rocklands School is a 135 place Generic Primary Special School for pupils aged 2 - 11 years with a range of needs, located within the Cathedral City of Lichfield and is part of the Manor Hall Academy Trust. We are looking for someone who: Provide Support for a named individual pupil Will communicate effectively with parents, pupils and staff Can remain calm and positive under pressure Can work as part of a team Is flexible, adaptable and able to multitask Is confident in the use of IT Is thoroughly professional, understanding issues of confidentiality and the need to protect the welfare of children Will fully support the ethos and aims of our school We can offer you: A very welcoming and supportive working environment Well behaved and motivated children A team of dedicated and hardworking staff A commitment to your Professional Development A happy and friendly ethos In addition to pupils with moderate and severe learning difficulties, we cater for the needs of pupils with very specific special educational needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and sensory difficulties. The curriculum, teaching and the learning environment are modified to meet the needs of all our pupils. Applications are invited from candidates who have excellent communication and organisational skills and a practical approach to engaging key stage two pupils. Knowledge and skills in working with pupils with special educational needs is essential and experience and/or experience of working with ASD pupils would be an advantage. Your commitment to the belief that all children can and do learn, whatever their needs, is an essential requirement for this post.
