Part-Time Teacher of Science (0.4 FTE)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious and passionate part-time Teacher of Science to join our well‑established and successful department. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable applicants. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or an ECT eager to begin their career in a supportive and dedicated department. Our ECTs follow the DfE Early Career Framework and benefit from both a subject mentor and an Induction Tutor. Our Science curriculum is broad, engaging and designed to ensure students of all abilities are challenged, supported and inspired. You will work with a committed team of specialists and skilled technicians, delivering high‑quality lessons and contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum. What We're Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: A qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge. Passionate about inspiring young people , fostering curiosity, confidence and a love of Science. Committed to high expectations for student learning, behaviour and personal development. Skilled at planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons that meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and high prior attainers. Confident in using assessment and data to monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback. An effective classroom practitioner , able to build a positive and purposeful learning environment. About the Science Department: Our Science team is a strong and growing department comprising subject leads in each discipline, both experienced and Early Career teachers and a team of skilled technicians.
